Wexford Champions St Martins Receive Bye Into Leinster Club Semi-Final

St Martins edged to victory in the Wexford Senior hurling final yesterday afternoon…

St Martins, who were without their star forward Rory O’Connor, defeated St Annes by two points to regain the trophy after losing it to Naomh Eanna the previous year.

The game fininshed on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-13.

St Martins will now look ahead to the Leinster semi-final. The luck of the draw has awared the Wexford champions a bye into the semi-final stages of the competition, giving the Wexford champions a much-deserved break.

In their Leinster semi-final, St Martins will play the winners of Ballyhale Shamrocks of Kilkenny and Clonkill of Westmeath, which will be played next Sunday 3rd November in Westmeath.

The St Martins (vs Ballyhale or Clonkill) semi-final will take place in an away venue on the weekend of the 16/17th of November.

Along with the aforementioned clubs, St Mullins of Carlow, Cuala of Dublin, Rathdowney of Laois and St Rynaghs of Offaly will all battle it out for Leinster Championship glory.
