Banner man Davy Fitzgerald couldn’t get one over his native county today, after his Wexford Senior hurlers were defeated by Clare on a scoreline of 0-18 to 0-15.

A Tony Kelly masterclass saw the Banner County, who were down to fourteen men for most of the game, emerge victorious at a cold and windy Wexford Park.
