Huge Blow For Davy And Club Team As Wexford Inter-County Player Injured

It’s less than two weeks until the opening round of the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship…

With preparations well and truly underway, one club will certainly be feeling the loss of one of their Senior players. The Rapparees club in Enniscorthy will be preparing without inter-county star Liam Ryan.

Ryan suffered a broken bone in his foot and he’s likely to be sidelined for the next few months, which would see him miss out on the Raparee’s games in the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship.

The Raparees outfit have been drawn against 2018 champions Naomh Eanna and the Shelmaliers in the revised Wexford Senior Hurling Championship group.

Wexford Senior Hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald, along with all Wexford hurling supporters will be wishing the Raparees man a speedy recovery.

The full-back has been a central player in Wexford’s hurling revival and he would be a huge loss in the back-line should he be missing against Galway in the Leinster Championship semi-final.
