Another Wexford GAA Club Suspends All Activity As A Covid-19 Precaution

Another GAA club in Wexford has decided to take action and suspend all club activity…

Recently, Ferns St Aidans suspended all activity as a Covid-19 precaution. It’s worth noting that the games that Wexford Camogie had also postponed included Clone Gaels, which are an amalgamated team of both Ferns St-Aidans and Monageer/Bollavogue.

It has now emerged that another club in Wexford are suspending all activity solely as a Covid-19 precaution. The Askamore-Kilrush GAA club have now suspended all activity.

The club released a statement tonight noting that there hasn’t been a Covid-19 case at the club, and that this action is solely as a precautionary measure:

“We are now suspending all club activity until further notice. There is no Covid-19 case at the club, so for the moment this is purely precautionary.”

“All GAA and HSE guidelines will be followed. The health and safety of everyone involved with our club — and their families — are the priorities, and hopefully this will be a short-term measure,” a club statement read.
