Wexford’s Rianna Jarrett Has Signed For A New Football Club

This is great news for Wexford’s Rianna Jarrett..

Wexford’s Rianna Jarrett has signed for a new football club.

She joins London City Lionesses for the upcoming season.

London City Lionesses, founded in June 2019, is a fully professional women’s football club, based at Princes Park Stadium, Dartford.

The team currently competes in the FA Women’s Championship, the second tier of domestic women’s football in England, with ambitions and a plan to gain promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

Jarrett joins the Lionesses from WSL side, Brighton & Hove Albion, where she made 16 appearances scoring two goals. The 26-year-old joins the Pride following a wealth of experience playing in Ireland, the United States, and the U.K.

“Rianna is a proven striker with strength that makes her an absolute handful on the ball. Her experiences both internationally and in the WSL add value to the squad and help us achieve our goals for the season ahead,” Head Coach Melissa Phillips said.

Jarret is also excited about the prospect and speaking after the official signing, she stated that she is looking forward to the challenge ahead:

“I am really excited to get going with LCL, a club which is professional and moving in the right direction. I got a great feeling from talking to Melissa and her staff, and all the players have been welcoming. looking forward to challenging myself in the league, and being pushed in the right direction,” Jarret stated.
