Host Of Former Wexford Hurlers Take Over The Wexford U-20 Team

A host of former Wexford Senior hurlers have taken over the Wexford u-20 team…

It comes after mananger James Sheil and the Wexford u-20 team suffered a defeat last year to Kildare in the Leinster hurling championship.

The consistent Wexford full-back and corner back, Keith Rossiter, has been confirmed as the new Wexford u-20 hurling manager for the new season.

The news was confirmed following a Wexford GAA County Board meeting this evening.

A host of former Wexford Senior hurlers, including Eanna Martin, Rory Jacob, and Joe Kearns, will form part of the backroom team for the Wexford u-20 team.

Meanwhile, in related news, Darragh Egan has confirmed his backroom team for the upcoming season. Willie Cleary, who stepped away from the Naomh Eanna Senior team this year, has been drafted in as a selector. Cleary will join former Dublin hurler Niall Corcoran as a selector, who was involved with Davy Fitzgerald’s set-up last year.

Interestingly, proud Wexford native and internationally recognised boxing coach Billy Walsh will also have a part to play in the backroom team.

For the Seniors, Graham Byrne will lead the Strength and Conditioning team for the upcoming season.
