It has been a rumour for the last number of years, but it now appears to be official…
Seven-time All-Ireland football winner with Dublin, Eoghan O’Gara, has joined a Wexford GAA club.
O’Gara will team up with the Shelmaliers GAA Club in Wexford.
O’Gara played with the Dublin footballers during the heights of their success for eleven seasons, having retired from inter-county football in 2019.
There has been some talk over the past week about O’Gara potentially joining up with the Wexford club, but some dismissed the news, believing it to be just another rumour.
Today, Wexford sports journalist, Ronan Fagan, confirmed the news publicly via his Twitter page.
O’Gara will join up with the Shelmaliers, who are the reigning Wexford Senior Football champions for 2021.
Ex-Dublin player, Eoghan O’Gara, will be a huge asset for the Shelmaliers this season as they look to defend their title as the 2022 season approaches.
