The Wexford Senior Football final took place today…
Both Gusserane and the Shelmaliers competed in the Wexford Senior Football final today.
The Shels have been crowned Wexford Senior Football Champions after winning on a score-line of 2-11 to 1-10.
It was a tight-affair for most of the match, but the Shelmaliers finished stronger. Shelmaliers’ second-half substitute Jody Donohue proved influential in the final stages of the game, scoring 1-02 from play.
Captain James Cash lifted the trophy for the Shels following a dominant second-half performance.
It’s the Shelmaliers’ first time winning the trophy since capturing it back 2018.
