Bookies Can See Only One Winner In This Year’s Wexford Senior Football Final

The bookies can only see one winner in this year’s Wexford Senior football final…

Both Castletown and the Shelmaliers will battle it out in the Wexford Senior Football final next Sunday at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

Ahead of the game, the bookies have released their odds and they are suggesting that there is only one team that will take home the crown.

The major bookmakers such as PaddyPower and Boylesports can’t seem to look past the Shelmaliers for this game. The Shels are tipped as 1/5 favourites to win the game, while Castletown can be got at a price of 7/2. A draw is tipped at 10/1.

If ever Castletown needed any motivation, all they would need to do is to look at these odds.

Very few people across the county are giving Castletown a chance; they’re coming up against the reigning champions – and champions that have increased in fire-power up front with the addition of Dublin All-Ireland winner, Eoghan O’Gara.

Despite that, Castletown will enter the game with nothing to lose and on the back of a dominant and classy result against rivals Kilanerin/Ballyfad in the quarter-final followed by a win over St James’ in the semi-final.
