The Wexford Rose Representing Us At The Rose Of Tralee Revealed

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is an international event which is celebrated among Irish communities all over the world…

The Wexford Rose of Tralee was revealed at the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey on Friday, May 6th.

The winner of the Wexford Rose of Tralee for 2022 is Joy Quigley.

Joy Quigley, the Wexford Rose

Joy, who runs her own personal training business, was also crowned the Strawberry Queen at the Enniscorthy Strawberry Festival back in 2019.

Her name is quite fitting too. She is joy by name and joy by nature, regularly promoting positive mental health, body confidence, and an adventure lifestyle.

The organisers of the Wexford Rose competition congratulated Joy and stated that she is in for “an adventure of a lifetime.”

Joy will now move on to represent Wexford at the Tralee festival which starts on Friday, August 19th. The event, which is broadcast over two nights by RTÉ, has been hosted by Kerry native Daithí Ó’Sé since 2010.
