People Were Delighted With Joy’s Performance As Wexford Rose Last Night

As you may be aware, the Rose of Tralee festival returned this weekend…

The rose that is representing Wexford at this year’s Rose of Tralee festival in Kerry is Ferns native, Joy Quigley.

Viewers of the show on RTÉ, hosted by Daithí O’Sé, had to wait until near the end of the show to catch the Wexford rose. It’s true what they say though; save the best ’til last.

Joy appeared last on last night’s show and she caught the attention of many, with many people singing her praise online.

The 26-year old from Ferns spoke about her love for hugs, her arm tattoo, her life as a Master’s student.

Following that, she then went on to teach Daithií O’Sé some bodybuilding poses.

Online, she was praised for her wit, comedic timing, and her bubbly personality. Praise also came in for her natural stage presence, with some calling for her to be the co-host of next year’s Rose of Tralee festival.

Another 15 roses will be showcased at tonight’s (Tuesday’s) festival. The winner of the Rose of Tralee festival will be crowned tonight – and we’re all rooting for Joy!
