Young Wexford Native To Start For Leinster Against Connacht

Leinster will take on Connacht tomorrow in a New Year’s Day showdown…

People from Wexford will have an extra-close eye on the game after it was revealed today that Wexford native, Brian Deeny, will start for Leinster.

The 22-year old came to prominence after he won a Grand Slam with the Ireland u-20s back in 2020, being one of the star-men of each game.

It’s an incredible achievement for Deeny, and tomorrow, he’ll be in good company with the likes of Johnny Sexton captaining the side, while James Ryan, Gibson-Park and Josh Van Der Flier will all line out too.

The game against Connacht takes place in the RDS Arena (Dublin) on Sunday Jan 1st at 7:35pm.

The match will be aired live on Sunday, January 1st on RTE 2, the RTE Player and Viaplay Sports 1. Coverage on RTE starts at 7pm, while coverage on Viaplay Sports (formerly Premier Sports) starts at 7.20pm. Kick off is at 7.35pm.
