The Wexford Ladies Footballers have found a new manager…
Wexford Ladies Football have appointed Wicklow native Robert Hollingsworth as their new senior team manager ahead of the 2027 season.
Hollingsworth succeeds Darren Kendrick, who stepped away from the position over the summer after just one year in charge.
The incoming manager brings considerable experience to the role, having previously represented Wicklow at senior inter-county level as a goalkeeper.
He has also built up an extensive coaching background in ladies football, working with teams in both Wicklow and Dublin. His previous roles include managing St Patrick’s senior ladies team in Wicklow and Naomh Ólaf in Dublin, where he took charge of the senior ladies team for the 2023 season.
Hollingsworth has been involved in ladies football in Wicklow for a number of years, including previous management and coaching roles with St Patrick’s GAA Club.
His appointment will now go forward for ratification at the next Wexford LGFA County Board meeting on November 16.
Wexford will be hoping the new management team can build on the work of previous campaigns as they look to establish themselves among the leading sides in the country.
