Former Wexford Hurler Shaun Murphy Identifies The Best Player He’s Ever Played With

Shaun Murphy was this week’s guest on The Wexford Hurling Podcast

Speaking to hosts Ben Bernie and Garry Doran, Murphy spoke about his time with the Wexford hurling set-up, the highs and lows, the Tipperary defeat, and his role as Wexford’s sweeper under Davy Fitzgerald.

Always, one interesting question posed to the guests on the show is ‘who is the best hurler you’ve ever played with’.

“I’ve had a few to be fair over the years, with the Oulart-The Ballagh team and with Wexford. When you look at Wexford, you look at Lee Chin and Paul Morris. Two fantastic hurlers.”

“But I’d have to go Rossi – Keith Rossiter with Oulart there. He always seemed to be there for big-stand out moments. He was the go-to person when you needed him. Even off the field, he was able to say the right thing at the right time. I think Rossi was the best player I’ve ever played with,” Murphy said.
