One of the multiple guests on the Our Game podcast this week was Cork hurling and football legend, Jimmy Barry Murphy.
Speaking to Our Game, he had high praise for one Wexford player in particular:
“A marvellous advertisement for the game. What a player like. If I was manager of Cork in the morning, asked to buy one player, a couple of years ago I would have said Jackie Tyrell as a defender. I would have loved to have him, but over the last couple of years, Lee Chin — what a player,” Jimmy Barry Murphy said.
The former Cork manager’s comments come after Wexford hurling legend Tom Dempsey named Chin as one of the best Wexford hurlers over the last 30 years.
