Wexford Senior Hurling manager Rossiter brings in two new faces to his backroom team

After the Wexford GAA County Board decided not to extend Darragh Egan’s contract, Keith Rossiter was named as the new Wexford Senior Hurling manager…

A report in the Irish Independent today states that Oulart-The Ballagh clubman Keith Rossiter has named his two coaches to come on board with him with the Wexford Senior Hurlers.

They include Oulart-The Ballagh clubman Des Mythen, who helped to guide Oylegate-Glenbrien to the Wexford Senior Hurling final this year, losing out to Naomh Eanna.

Mythen has been hailed for his meticulous analysis of opposition teams, as well as getting the best out of the players in front of him.

Some fans suggested that Mythen was in pole position to take over the vacant u-20 Wexford hurling manager role, but it appears that this is now out of the equation, as Wexford GAA continue their search for a suitable candidate, despite reports.

According to the Irish Independent report, another coach that Rossiter has drafted in to the Senior hurling set-up is former Wexford Senior football manager, Jason Ryan.

Ryan has previously been involved with Taghmon and the Glynn-Barntown Senior hurlers.

Both Mythen and Ryan will join Offaly native David Franks, while Frank Flannery will take on the position of skills coach and Damien Fitzhenry will help as goalkeeping coach.

Both are still due for ratification at the next Wexford GAA County Board meeting. It is likely that the new u-20 Wexford hurling manager will be ratified on that night too.
