Wexford GAA decide not to extend Darragh Egan’s contract as Senior hurling manager

Wexford GAA have decided not to extend Darragh Egan’s contract…

They confirmed the news in a short statement on Monday evening.

“Wexford GAA wish to announce that, following the completion of a comprehensive review of the 2023 season, it has been decided not to extend Darragh Egan’s initial two-year term as Senior Hurling Manager.”

“Wexford GAA wish to acknowledge and thank Darragh for the enormous efforts he and his backroom team have made since his appointment in September 2021 and wish them all well for the future. The process to appoint a new Senior Hurling Manager will now commence.”

It also comes as some Wexford players announced their support for Egan to continue his reign, while Egan was also a noticeable member of the crowd during many of the club Senior hurling championship games over the last few weeks.

Wexford GAA will now be seeking a new manager to help guide them further. Here are some of the potential candidates for the now-vacant job.
