Wexford singer releases song ‘Christy goes Christmassy’

A Wexford native has released a new song…

Liam Byrne, from Ballygarret in North Wexford, has penned a new song called ‘Christy goes Christmassy’.

Byrne has become a master of the Christy Moore songs, but with his new song, it’s clear that he’s now starting to look and feel like him too.

In the song, he states how he’s “beginning to look a lot like Christy…,” how “he’s beginning to sweat a lot like Christy”, and that he’s now even an “Ordinary man, but he’ll only sing for 20 grand.”

It’s not the first time that Byrne has found his way onto Wexford Weekly either. Previously, he released a song about Thirsty Thursdays in a Gorey pub, while he also penned a song entitled “Give Marty Morrissey back his car”.
