All the details ahead of the crucial Carlow vs Wexford match this weekend

Fresh from their fantastic draw with Kilkenny, Carlow will now turn their attention to Wexford…

After Carlow’s draw with Kilkenny, it means that Wexford’s clash with them has become an even-more crucial one. A win for Carlow could see Wexford relegated, with Wexford then needing a win over Kilkenny in their final game to avoid the drop.

A win for Wexford against Carlow will mean that they will be safe from relegation to the Joe McDonagh Cup, and a win against Kilkenny in their final game could see them qualified or even placed into a Leinster final, depending on other results from the round-robin.

When is it on?

It’s on Sunday 19th May, with throw-in at 3pm.

Where?

It’s in Dr. Cullen Park, Carlow.

Betting odds?

Despite their excellent draw with Kilkenny last weekend, the bookies can only see one winner here. Carlow are priced at 13/2. A draw is 14/1. Wexford are huge favourites, tipped at 1/10. The handicap is set at 8 points.

It’s worth noting that Carlow would have likely targeted this game against Wexford, and coming off a high after getting a historic result against Kilkenny, it may be a lot closer than the bookies are predicting.

  1. I think its disgraceful that championship matches are not being broadcast live on television. I like many others cannot travel to every match. V bad form. Shame on GAA
