Two new Wexford GAA training jerseys have been placed on sale

Alternate GAA training jerseys seem to be a hit in recent times across the nation…

Often, there are new Wexford GAA training jerseys released to the public for people to purchase. Over the last few days, an additional two Wexford GAA training jerseys have went on public sale.

The first jersey is exclusive to Hore’s Stores in Wexford. It features the Pikeman at the bottom of the jersey, a symbol which resonates strongly with Wexford history.

Detailing the jersey, which is retailing between €42.95 – €62.95 depending on size, it says:

“The unique Pikeman detailing adds a touch of heritage and pride, making this top a standout piece in your training wardrobe,” it reads on the Hore’s Stores website.

Another Wexford training jersey has been placed on the official O’Neill’s website. This is described as a “green mint jersey” and it’s sure to split opinion.

This green jersey is likely to split opinion, similar to their previous release with many people questioning “where is the purple and gold” while others pointed out that it looked too much like a Kilkenny jersey as it had included black and yellow stripes.

It’s not the first time that O’Neill’s have went bold with their approach. Just three months ago, a red Wexford GAA training jersey was placed on sale which also divided opinion.

The timing of the release of these jerseys is also an interesting one, given the fact that both campaigns for the Wexford Senior hurling team and the Wexford Senior football team have since ended.
