Wexford FC announce young Mayo man as a new signing

Wexford FC currently sit on sixth place in the League of Ireland First Division…

On Thursday afternoon, the South East club announced that Conor Crowley, who was previously with Wexford FC in 2020, will be returning to the club.

Later that evening, they announced that they will be signing a young goalkeeper from Mayo – Conor Walsh – on loan for the remainder of the season.

“We are delighted to confirm the arrival of Conor Walsh on loan from Sligo Rovers. The 19 year old keeper has made 6 Premier Division appearances already for Sligo, before going on loan to Finn Harps for the first half of this year where he made another 6 appearances. A Mayo native, he has represented Ireland at U15, U16, U17 and at U19 level,” the club statement reads.

It’s a statement of intent for Wexford FC as they continue their push for promotion, with only seven points separating 6th place and 3rd place on the League table.
