Leinster Rugby squad to train at two Wexford locations this week

The Leinster Rugby squad will be in Wexford this week…

They will be here in the Model County for two open training sessions. These training sessions, which are open to the public, will take place in Gorey and New Ross respectively.

Gorey Rugby Club will host the first open training session. It takes place on Thursday, 22nd August. Public can access the club grounds from 10am, with training starting at 10:15am. There will be time for a meet-and-greet with the players after the training session at 11:30am.

On Friday, Leinster rugby will partake in another open training session in New Ross. The squad will be training at the same times. The public can access the club, FBD Park, New Ross from 10am, with training starting at 10:15am. There will be time for a meet-and-greet with the players after the training session at 11:30am.

The New Ross Rugby club, Tadhg Furlong’s boyhood club, shared their excitement, nothing that everyone is invited to attend what is sure to be a brilliant occasion:

“New Ross RFC are delighted to host the Leinster squad in an open training session as they prepare for the BKT United Rugby Championship. All welcome to New Ross RFC for what is to be a great day with the opportunity to meet Leinster squad! We ask that all supporters work with our stewards and volunteers to ensure that everyone has as much fun as possible and the day runs smoothly,” the New Ross club said.

The open training sessions will provide an excellent insight into the training of a professional team, while it will also prove to be an excellent family day out, with young kids able to see their heroes up close in their own locality.
