Wexford County Council issues warning to people around coastal areas

The Wexford County Council have issued a warning to the public…

They have stated that caution must “be observed when visiting coastal areas, beaches and harbours” across the county.

It comes as weather forecaster Met Eireann stated that “coastal levels are elevated” and are set for “high” for both Thursday and Friday across the county.

Ireland will be affected by strong winds and increased storm surge from the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto.

The warning is in place from 12 noon on Wednesday.

The warning extends to 12 noon on Friday 23rd August 2024.

The public are encouraged to avoid the coastal areas during this time and to take necessary precautions.
