It’s a new dawn and it’s a new day…
That’s certainly the case for The Bunker Bar, located just 5 minutes outside of Gorey town, as they have now changed ownership.
Both Orla Molloy and Jimmy Fleming will now be operating the business in The Rock.
It’s Orla’s first-time in business, but she will be helped along the way by long-time businessman, Jimmy, who owned Jimmy’z Bar in Riverchapel and now also operates the ever-popular Paddy Blues Pub in the bustling town Gorey.
The Bunker Bar has changed hands from both Jonathan Humpreys and Michelle, who handed over the keys to the premises less than three weeks ago after eight years:
“We would like to thank all our customers for their support over the last 8 years and our staff members, past and present. We would like to wish Jimmy and Orla the very best on their new venture here and trust they will receive a warm welcome and plenty of support,” they said upon their departure.
For Orla and Jimmy, they see a bright future ahead for the premises. Their focus will be on hosting birthday parties such as 18ths, 21st, and 50ths. They also view the premises as an ideal place to hold a function or event such as wedding anniversaries or Day 2 events for weddings. The options really are limitless for the pair.

They have committed to The Bunker Bar being a live-music venue, and already, local acts such as Aoife Doyle, Paddy Doyle, Johnny Melay, and Brian Brody have played there to some large crowds in attendance.
