Wexford Camogie are looking for new managers…
They issued the following statement on Twitter (X) on Thursday morning:
“Wexford Camogie would like to invite all expression of interest for various management positions for the 2025 season.”
The positions included:
– Senior/Intermediate Manager
– U16 manager
– U15 manager
Colin Sunderland was the manager of the Wexford Senior Camogie team for the last two years, replacing Kevin Tattan in his role when he stepped away from the team.
It is believed that Colin Sunderland will be reapplying for the Wexford Senior Camogie managerial role, but Wexford Camogie are seeking expressions of interest too.
Sunderland was highly-respected in the world of Camogie. In the past, Sunderland has guided the Oulart-The Ballagh Senior team to success in recent years, honours which include Wexford titles, Leinster titles, and even an All-Ireland Senior Club championship title back in 2020 after they defeated Sarsfields.
In 2022, with Oulart-The Ballagh Senior Camogie team, he once again helped to guide them to a Wexford Senior Championship, having defeated Glynn-Barntown in the final at Chadwicks Wexford Park to win the three-in-a-row.
For any interested party, they should email secretary.wexford@camogie.ie or chairperson.wexford@camogie.ie no later than Wednesday 25th September, 5pm.
