The business world can be hard to manoeuvre…
That’s certainly the case for a Mexican restaurant in Wexford town, as it has been forced to close its doors, announcing its closure just two days ago.
The owners of the Mexican restaurant – CDMX Wexford – said that they have had to close to business, but they are doing so with a “heavy heart” after being in business in Wexford for the past two years after opening in August 2022.
The restaurant, CDMX in Wexford, will officially at 9pm Sunday 22nd of September.
“We have thought & fought, long and hard in the severely difficult climate that the hospitality sector has, and continues to endure. The drastic drop in trade means that the numbers simply do not stack up and ultimately has forced our hand to make the heart breaking decision to close. We want to thank all our customers who visited along the way. To our amazing General Manager J.P., Head Chef Edel, and their team of staff, past & present, for a truly remarkable effort. And a special thank you to our Landlord, Eamonn, who has supported us throughout the journey,” they said.
“The last 2 years or so have been challenging but what an amazing 2 years it was as manager of CDMX, I could not be more proud of all staff past and present. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
The business was owned by both Paul Cullen and Craig Hughes, who also own 10 West Bistro, La Vista Café in the National Opera House and La Vista Café Gorey. Their other business are running as normal and will remain open.
