Ireland-based children’s app reaches 3 million downloads and has global appeal

StoryToys, a leading Dublin-based award-winning developer of interactive and educational digital content for pre-school children, is thrilled to announce that its latest release, the ‘LEGO® DUPLO® PEPPA PIG’ app has reached over 3 million downloads since its launch in early June this year….

The successful app makes it the fastest-growing app launch in the history of the company.

Reflecting the app’s global appeal, it has become the number one children’s iPad app in more than 20 countries and has secured a spot in the top 10 in over 120 countries.

In addition to its commercial success, the ‘LEGO DUPLO PEPPA PIG’ app also marks a significant cultural moment for the award-winning company. While StoryToys apps are available in as many as 28 different languages, this is their first app in seven years to be available in the Irish language.

Emmet O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer of StoryToys has said:

“This is an incredibly proud moment for StoryToys. To create an app that is so widely loved by children and parents worldwide with over 3 million downloads in under 3 months is a phenomenal success. Furthermore, to do so while also celebrating and promoting the Irish language is something we are particularly proud of”.

“Children are constantly learning from their environment and StoryToys believes in the power of play to inspire. Bringing the beloved character of Peppa Pig into the digital world with LEGO DUPLO, children across Ireland and the world can now immerse themselves in Peppa’s adventures through entertaining and educational content while learning their language of choice”.

This achievement is part of StoryToys ongoing collaboration with renowned global brand, The LEGO Group, which began in 2018. The LEGO DUPLO PEPPA PIG app is the fifth app produced as part of this successful partnership. StoryToys is committed to release more apps in the future that will be available in the Irish language to support language learning.
