Betting odds updated for outright winner of Wexford Senior Football Championship

We’re now into the final four of the Wexford Senior Football Championship…

After some tough group games and an exciting quarter-final round, the semi-final stages are upon us.

The four teams remaining in the Wexford SFC are Castletown, Gusserane, Crossabeg, and Glynn-Barntown.

In the semi-finals, Castletown will take on Glynn -Barntown, while Crossabeg will take on Gusserane.

Shelmaliers, who were the reigning champions, and Kilanerin/Ballyfad who typically do quite well in the Wexford SFC are already out of the competition, being defeated at the quarter-final stages.

One of the bigger shocks of the remaining teams is the inclusion of Glynn-Bantown in the semi-final stages. Not many would have predicted that they would still be in the competition at this stage, especially with the Shelmaliers standing in their way in their last outing. After defeating last year’s champions through an incredible second-half comeback, their confidence will be high heading into the clash against Castletown.

Meanwhile, Crossabeg/Ballymurn are the outsiders for the competition in the eyes of the bookeis. They defeated Senior Championship newcomers – Naomh Eanna – by just one point in the quarter-final. Their opposition, Gusserane, on the other hand enjoyed an excellent win over a strong Kilanerin team that many people fancied to lift the trophy after the Shelmaliers were knocked out.

Ahead of the semi-finals, the bookies have released their odds for the outright winner of the Wexford Senior Football Championship.

Outright winner – betting odds Wexford SFC:

Castletown 6/5

Gusserane 3/1

Glynn-Barntown 3/1

Crossabeg/Ballymurn 5/1
