We’re well and truly in the business end of the Championship now…
The Wexford Senior Football Championship quarter-finals concluded over the weekend and the semi-final pairings have now been confirmed. The pairings were confirmed following a draw which took place at Chadwicks Wexford Park on Monday evening.

Quarter-final pairings Wexford SFC:
Castletown vs Glynn Barntown
Gusserane vs Crossabeg
One can imagine that both Castletown and Gusserane will be favourites ahead of the semi-final clashes. Glynn-Barntown knocked out reigning champions Shelmaliers in the quarter-final after an unbelievable comeback. Gusserane will enter their clash against Crossabeg on a high after defeating Kilanerin/Ballyfad in their quarter-final clash. Crossabeg enter the semi-final having defeated Wexford SHC newcomers Naomh Eannan by the minimum.
All quarter-finals are pencilled in to take place from Saturday October 12th and Sunday October 13th, with fixtures details to follow.
Meanwhile, St Annes have been relegated to the Wexford Intermediate Football Championship after losing out to HWH Bunclody in the relegation final.
