If you’re a young lad, these are the things dreams are made of…
The Wexford u-14 Division 1 County Cup final took place on Sunday. The game was between St Annes and Oylegate-Glenbrien.
Oylegate-Glenbrien ran out victorious on the day, creating club history by winning the double – the u-14 hurling and the u-14 football championship.

Although there were many moments of brilliance in the match, the moment of the game came when Oylegate’s centre-back took on the world.
Oylegate-Glenbrien’s centre-back, Rocco Quigley picked up a loose ball in the half-back line. He soloed with the ball, sprinting past multiple defenders in speedy fashion. With incredible balance and speed, he found himself on the opposition’s 21-yard line.
It felt like there was no stopping him then.
When he reached this far down the pitch after a fantastic solo run, he buried the ball past the St Annes keeper into the roof of the net.
