Brand new escape room VR experience coming to Wexford town

A brand-new VR escape room experience will open in Wexford town, tomorrow, October 26th 2024 and opens to customers at 10am…

Escape Wexford, ran by Karl McGlone and his brother Dave, is located on Peter Street, across from Snip It Barbers (formerly Colman Doyle’s Hardware). Inside, they have two VR zones, each accommodating up to four players for an hour-long session.

Teams can be made up of 2, 3, or 4 players, with nine different escape scenarios to choose from! Whether it’s fixing a space station, fighting a dragon, stopping a runaway train, or escaping a haunted manor, each game is packed with unique puzzles and challenges.

A common question is: Why try a VR escape room rather than VR at home?

Firstly, Escape Wexford offers exclusive games that you can’t play anywhere else in Wexford. Secondly, their VR zones have enough space for you to walk around, interact with the virtual world, and get truly immersed in the experience.

It’s a fantastic way to “escape Wexford” and dive into another world for an hour! And, of course, playing in the same space as your friends or family makes it a lot more fun and social than standard, one-player VR games.

Escape Wexford have tiered pricing to give the best value for larger groups:

  • 2 players: €30 per person
  • 3 players: €27.50 per person
  • 4 players: €25 per person

With two VR zones, a maximum of two teams can play at any one time, so we recommend booking in advance on our website to secure a spot.

We’d love to bring a little more excitement to Wexford and offer a go-to spot for family days out, date nights, team-building events, birthdays, or just a unique place to hang out with friends.

For Wexford Weekly readers, the business has generously created a 15% discount code – WEXWEEKLY – available for any booking made before Halloween on our website, https://www.escapewexford.com/.
