“I visualised I would win,” says Lotto winner from Taghmon in Wexford

The National Lottery’s winners’ room was buzzing as five groups of winners collected their prizes at Lottery HQ on 1 Georges Quay after the bank holiday weekend…

First in the door was a Wexford man who collected his cheque for €60,005, which he won in the Telly Bingo Snowball on Tuesday, 22nd October, after purchasing his ticket in Spar, Taghmon, Co. Wexford.

“I haven’t played Telly Bingo in almost 6 months, but when I was heading into the shop to buy a ticket, I just visualised that it was going to be a winning ticket. I didn’t get to check my numbers until that evening, and I just couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic!” he laughed. “I’ve even been hiding it under my mattress all week in case it went missing” he added.

The player revealed how he had no immediate plans to spend his winnings, but he’s sure that Christmas will be extra special with his family this year.
