Late change of opponent for Dean Walsh on his professional boxing debut in Waterford

There’s a lot of excitement building around Wexford for this fight…

Dean Walsh, who enjoyed an excellent career in the amateur ranks, will now be making his professional boxing debut on Saturday December 7th in Waterford.

Originally, Wexford and St Ibar’s boxer Dean Walsh was meant to be fighting 30-year old Croatian boxer Ermin Sali, however, there has since been a change of his opponent.

Confirming the change of opponent to Wexford Weekly, Dean Walsh will now be fighting Tamas Horvath. Horvath is a Hungarian national, aged 29, and has a record of 8 wins and 10 losses, winning three of his last four fights in the pro ranks.

Wexford’s Dean Walsh will be making his pro debut, while Wexford native Dean Gonzalez Furlong will be hoping to continue his winning streak.

Originally, three Wexford boxers were due to fight on the card, but a late training camp injury to David Bomber Kennedy has ruled the Gorey man out of his fight.
