A popular Wexford take-away was nominated for a prestigious award…
Last month, we revealed that Oylegate-based take-away, PJ’s Diner, was nominated for a Customer Excellence Awards for Take-away of the Year.
Today, while both owners – PJ and Sharon – were away on holiday in Thailand, they received a call from the organisers. They answered a phone call at 11:30pm – and they revealed that the Wexford-based PJ’s Diner had claimed silverware and the prestigious award.
Speaking after they were named take-away of the year, they said:
“From the bottom of our hearts a massive thank you to anyone who nominated us, the judges who selected us as winners, and everyone in between who wished us well over the past couple weeks. We really appreciate it. Also a big shout-out to the women in PJ’s who are such an integral part of the PJ’s team, we couldn’t have done it without you all,” both PJ and Sharon said.
The take-away, which is now 16 years in business, is a hit with locals. Likewise, those passing through Oylegate would find it difficult not to stop and enjoy their delicious food.
The award ceremony took place at White’s Hotel on Sunday, 8th December at 5pm.
