Popular Wexford business to close its doors after 15 years

When one door closes, another door opens and that certainly seems to be the case for this Wexford business…

Baker Street Studios, a hairdressers and salon based on 95 Main Street Gorey, will be closing its doors. However, it’s not the end of the journey for the owners.

Sharing the news to their loyal customers, they said that while Baker Street Studios may be closing, it has opened the door for new adventures:

“After 15 incredible years, Baker Street Studios 95 Main Street is closing its doors. But this is not the end – it’s the start of an exciting new chapter.”

Baker Street Studios in Gorey town was run by Tara Baker and Cheryl Baker. They now plan on opening a new salon in the village of Kilanerin, less than ten minutes outside of Gorey town:

“Tara and Cheryl, the dynamic duo behind Baker Street, are embarking on a new adventure. They’ll be opening a fabulous new salon in Kilanerin, where they can’t wait to welcome all their loyal clients to their fresh, modern space,” they said.

The store itself, located on 95 Main Street which is across the road from Supervalu and the Bookstation, will be taken over by Anthony Walsh, who will also continue to lead the existing staff under a new name:

“While we bid a fond farewell to Baker Street, there’s more good news in store. The amazing Mane Collective team and the amazing existing staff of Bakers will be led by the talented Anthony Walsh, who will be taking over 95 Main Street. They’ll continue creating the stunning looks you’ve come to expect, so you can still enjoy the exceptional service you love,” Cheryl and Tara said.

Lastly, the owners thanked their loyal customer base for the last 15 years. At the end of the day, a business is nothing without its customers and a supportive community:

“Gorey, you’ve been so good to us over the years, and we’re forever grateful for your support. Now, we hope you’ll join us in this new and exciting chapter. Come visit Mane Collective at their new home, and let’s embark on this journey together,” the owners said.
