A popular Wexford restaurant has closed its doors…
Katie Daly’s pub and restaurant in the heart of Gorey town in County Wexford has closed its doors with “immediate effect.”
The owners took to social media to share the devastating news, having operated in the town for 14 years. Known for their hospitality and their tasty food offerings, Katie Daly’s became a staple in the town and it was much-loved by its customers.
“Due to the current economic climate and the issues that hospitality is facing nationwide, it is no longer sustainable for us to continue.
“To all of our customers, particularly our local customers, your custom allowed us to trade for 14 wonderful years.
“Thank you for sharing all your special occasions with us, for the laughter, the joy, and your support over the years.
“Katie Daly’s was more than just a restaurant and bar in Gorey, it was a place where memories were made, cheers were shared and friendships were forged,” the statement read.
It’s sad to see such an excellent restaurant close its doors after operating for such a long period within the North Wexford town.
At the end of the statement, the owners wished the new management the best of luck, causing people to wonder what’s going there next.
