Wexford’s best restaurant for 2025 was revealed at the Irish Restaurant Awards…
The best of the food and hospitality sector in Leinster were honoured last night at the Irish Restaurant Awards Leinster Regional Final 2025, marking the first regional event of this year’s prestigious awards season.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday, March 11th, at the Killashee Hotel, Kildare, where county winners from across the province were revealed.
An array of Wexford winners won awards on the night, including Wexford’s best pub among many other categories. Another category that gains public interest is Wexford’s best restaurant – and the winner was revealed at the ceremony.
La Côte Seafood Restaurant, based in Wexford town, won the award for Wexford’s Best Restaurant for 2025 at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
Located on Custom Quay in Wexford town overlooking the Irish Sea and Wexford’s famous Mussel Trawlers, La Côte is a contemporary seafood restaurant.
Fish at La Côte is always fresh and delivered to the restaurant on the day it is caught. Menus at La Côte change with the seasons and are inspired by what can be sourced locally: freshly caught fish off Wexford’s Kilmore Quay; meat sourced from local farmers; artisan breads baked by Paul; herbs, plants and sea vegetables grown themselves or foraged for locally; edible flowers and herbs grown in the restaurant’s window boxes.
Speaking ahead of the awards ceremony, the owners said:
“Your continued support, love, and kind words mean the world to us, and we are beyond grateful,” they said.
