Planning permission sought for IPAS centre in Wexford

Planning permission has been sought for an IPAS centre in Wexford…

An application has been lodged with the Wexford County Council planning authority.

The application was made on behalf of Shiela O’Riordan.

The property, a former B&B, is located Moyglare Lodge, Rosslare Road, Killinick,

The applicant proposes to change “change of use from B&B Guest House accommodation to IPAS accommodation.”

As per the application, available on the Wexford County Council website, the occupancy capacity has be estimated at “2 staff members along with 35 guests.”

The property consists of 2 storey guesthouse which occupies c.561m2. The property’s configuration consists of 3 bedrooms, dining, kitchen and sitting room on the ground floor. The first floor consists of 8 bedrooms and ancillary accommodation, while the external of the property consists of a “general yard” as per the application.

It has been submitted as part of an Exempted Development under Section 5 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

Last month, an application was sought for an IPAS centre in Gorey, however, the well-known businessman made a U-turn with his plans afterwards given the backlash it had received from locals within the town.
