It’s some good news for fans of Wexford hurling…
At least two of Wexford’s Leinster Senior hurling championship games will be broadcast live on RTÉ for 2025.
RTE announced their GAA schedule yesterday, Tuesday March 18th.
The first game with Wexford involved on live terrestrial television is Wexford’s away clash against Galway. This will take place on Saturday, May 10th in Salthill.
One could guess the next game which will be shown live on RTE. Similar to previous years, Wexford’s clash with Kilkenny – which is the final group game once again – will be broadcast live on television. This takes place on Sunday May 25th at 2pm. Depending on other results, RTE may however opt to place Dublin versus Galway on live television instead, as their options remain open with regards to this.
Should Wexford reach the Leinster Senior hurling final in 2025, that match will also be broadcast live on RTE. It would be Wexford’s first time in a Leinster final since 2019.
Meanwhile, in related news, Wexford GAA have agreed a lucrative deal with GAA streaming platform, Clubber TV. Clubber TV will show all of Wexford’s club hurling and club football championship fixtures on their platform in a pay-per-view format.
