It’s not often that global superstars come to Wexford…
But that will be the case this October. Global music superstar, Ed Sheeran, has been revealed as the headline act for the 2025 Spiegeltent festival, which takes place on Wexford’s quay-front on Saturday, October 25th.
It was a work-in-progress for the organisers of the popular Wexford festival. But on Tuesday, after months of hard work trying to get his name on the line-up, they made the official announcement on their social media channels.
Speaking to Wexford Weekly, committee member William Byrne said:
“We’re delighted to officially announce that Ed Sheeran will be playing at the Spiegeltent Festival in Wexford in 2025. He will headline the festival on Saturday night, October 25th! Our festival has continued to develop over the previous four years. It’s another step in the right direction for us as we look to expand our festival every year. Attracting a name like Ed Sheeran to Wexford is unbelievable. We’ve already received calls and messages regarding tickets. Tickets will be available on May 5th 2025 via Ticketmaster.”
On Tuesday, April 1st, musician Ed Sheeran also shared the news via his Instagram page:
“I’m delighted to be playing at the Spiegeltent Festival in 2025! Many of my Irish followers would know that Wexford is a place that means a lot to me. My new album will be out in June 2025 and I’m looking forward to sharing some new music with you all. Ed”
With Sheeran announced for the Wexford festival, tickets will be like gold-dust. Tickets, which cost €96, will be available via Ticketmaster on May 5th.
