A new casino is set to open in Wexford…
The casino premises will be located in Enniscorthy town.
It replaces the previous ‘Bank of Ireland’, which was originally there, with the building being described as one of the “most impressive and historic buildings in the town centre.”
The name for the new casino has since been revealed, with users turning to social media to share the news and to express their disappointment with the decision.
Others, however, welcomed to addition to the town, noting that it will replace a previously vacant building and that it will also provide some additional jobs locally.
The casino and entertainment centre will be called ‘The Olde Bank’, a reference to the previous establishment.
Wexford County Council had denied planning permission for the new casino, however, this was overruled by Ireland’s independent planning authority, An Bord Pleanala.
