Marty Morrisey was in Wexford Park on Saturday for the Antrim and Wexford clash in the opening round of the Leinster hurling championship….
There’s no doubt that Morrisey, who was on commentary duty, enjoyed his time in Wexford.
One thing that he definitely enjoyed was the food from one Wexford business, as he gave high-praise for The Country Bistro in Taghmon.
Mary Mcgee, who runs the popular restaurant in South Wexford, received praise from the legendary GAA commentator. The business then shared the video of the praise to their own social media channels, with many people agreeing with Marty’s sentiments in the comments section:
“Mary Mcgee – you legend. You make the best sandwiches. Not alone in Taghmon in Wexford – but all over the country. I love you to bits; I want to wish you all the best – and up Wexford.”
The Country Bistro in Taghmon is a restaurant, while outdoor catering is another thing that they’re well-known for. The Wexford business was established in 1993.
