Wexford school makes it through to provincial final for Ireland’s Fittest School

A Wexford school has made it through to the provincial final…

Gorey Central School, located in Gorey town, has made it through to the Leinster final.

On the day, Gorey Central School will be competing against three other schools.

The other schools include Scoil Na Mainistreach, Celbridge, Dangan Mixed National School, Meath and St. Michael’s Boys National School, Longford.

Present will be teachers, staff and young pupils from the four Leinster schools who have progressed to this year’s provincial final – all of whom will be taking part in their bid to take home silverware to their school and to progress into the All-Ireland stages.

The two-and-a-half hour live event, which will see all four teams compete, will take place on Friday, May 2nd at  SCD Leisure Tallaght.

At the All-Ireland final, there is a grand prize of €8,000 worth of gym equipment up for grabs.

Last year, County Waterford’s St. Mary’s Touraneena National School were crowned ‘Ireland’s Fittest School 2024’.
