A mobile breast-check unit is set to return to Wexford…
The mobile BreastCheck Unit has arrived back to the grounds of Ely Hospital in Wexford town. Screening is due to commence on 5th June 2025.

People can register from age 48, but the HSE will wait until you are over 50 to invite you for breast screening. The breast screening is available for those aged 50 to 69. You also must be living in Ireland and have a PPS number to be eligible.

The mobile breast-check unit has been plauded as a great initiative, as early detection of breast cancer can save lives. If breast cancer is found early, it’s easier to treat and there’s a better chance of recovery.
