TikTok’s algorithm is always in tune with what’s happening right now…
Right now, TikTok videos about the 2025 Leaving Certificate on brand new pages with no followers are hitting the ‘For You’ page like Charli D’amelio.
One Wexford secondary school student, Scott Foley of lcreviews2025, garnered 668,700 views in just six days after he started making TikTok’s about the Leaving Cert once the exams concluded.
In the videos, Scott interviews fellow students individually after every paper to hear how well their exam went. Students then tell the world about their experience sitting the exam.
For example, one student – Flávio – wrote about his gambling addiction in his personal essay. Students who taking the same paper are able to find each other on the ‘For You’ page and talk about how they found the paper, about what went well and what went terribly. Likewise, it was all communally agreed Irish Paper One was too difficult and we all “made a balls of it.”
Students doing the Ordinary Level Maths paper one exam were able to find solace with other as all agreed nobody understood one question, the Concept and Skills question under Section A:
“How Miriam and Diarmund finished cleaning the window at the same time when they take different times to finish the window but the same time to start“
Every student in the country has something in common to talk about because they’re all sitting the same papers.
After finishing a paper, the modern and fast communications of TikTok will have a video pop up immediately, where you’ll be able to relate to a similar experience.
