
The new Wexford Rose for 2025 has been revealed…
22 contestants entered into the Rose of Tralee Wexford selection on Friday night. In front of a large crowd at the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey, all applicants had an opportunity to shine on stage.
The new rose for the upcoming 2025 Rose of Tralee festival in Kerry was revealed on the night by the judges and selection committee.
Wexford’s rose for 2025 is Cliona O’Leary from the historic village of Boolavogue.
The 2025 Rose of Tralee International Festival will take place from August 15th to 19th.
Cliona O’Leary bio:
“My name is Cliona O’Leary and I am 26 years old. I live on my family farm in a rural village called Boolavogue in Wexford. I am currently in my 3rd year of college in SETU in Wexford studying for a Bachelors of Science in Sustainable Farm Management and Agribusiness. I am currently completing my 6 months work placement in John Cullen Grain in Ballymurn.”
“I am heavily involved in Macra at club, county and national level on various committees within the organisation. I love country music and dancing and I’m never too far from a dance floor. I also love the local bingo that’s held for our local GAA club every Friday in Oulart. I’m very lucky to have a great group of friends and family who have helped me to achieve any goals I set my mind to. I would like to thank especially Tommy Williamson farm and landscaping supplies for sponsoring me,” her bio reads.
