Children’s art festival to take place in Wexford

Rí Rá Festival of Children’s Arts, in its 2nd year, will be kicking off next weekend in County
Wexford, with international contemporary circus shows, workshops and more taking place across Foulksmills, Enniscorthy and Wexford Town.

This year, highlights include A Whole Trip by Duo Patagonia (Argentina), which is a
duo-acrobatic based performance that will be performed up on the green on Gimont Avenue in Enniscorthy on Saturday 19th July, as well as on Sunday 20th July in Redmond Park, Wexford Town.

Don’t miss Compagnie SCOM, with their beautiful contemporary circus piece
for children, TRAIT(s) featuring live music, the exhilaration of the Cyr wheel as well as a lot of paint! They will perform in Blackbird Cultur Lab, Foulksmills on Friday 18 July, as well as in the National Opera House on Sunday 20th July.

Irish company Symmetry Circus will also bring their show What’s Watt, never seen before in Wexford, to inspire the young and indeed the old!

You never know what young person you know that you’ll see up higher than you’ve ever seen them walking around between shows, as budding circus artists from diverse
communities engaged in our year-round programmes don their stilts!

Get your own families involved in hands-on workshop experiences in aerial trapeze, silks,
theatre, dance, puppetry, visual art, creative hula hooping and much more with workshops and interactive shows happening in Wexford Arts Centre, Presentation Arts Centre, Blackbird Cultur Lab, Clonard Community Centre and at the outdoor venues.

Don’t miss the moving HeART of Gaza exhibition of children’s art from the genocide running in Wexford Arts Centre throughout the festival.
