Wexford Motorcycle club raises incredible amount for Irish Kidney Association

A Wexford Motorcycle club has raised an incredible amount for charity…

The Gurriers Motorcycle Club, which was founded in late 2024, took part in a Charity Motorcycle Run on Sunday, 13th July.

On Monday, the orgnaisers revealed that they had raised an incredible €7,700 for their charity of choice.

Speaking after the event, a spokesperson for the Wexford Motorbike Club said:

“We are blown away with the support we got from everyone. Thank you again form all of us at The Gurriers,” they said.

The event raised funds for the Irish Kidney Association (IKA) and promote awareness of organ donation. This ride was inspired by the health journey of the mother of one of Gurriers bikers Jason Cullen.

Pauline White, from Tottenham Green in Taghmon, has faced numerous medical challenges, and for three years has been undergoing dialysis treatment while hoping for a kidney transplant.

Pauline’s inspiring strength and resilience have led to the creation of this Charity Motorcycle Run, which will see her take a prominent role as a passenger on a trike, driven by her devoted husband John White who ignited Jason’s passion for motorbikes.

Riders set off at 12 noon from Taghmon GAA club, embarking on a scenic tour of Wexford, passing through New Ross, Clonroche,  Enniscorthy, Wexford town, before returning to the starting point.
