Wexford football manager steps away from role

A Wexford manager has stepped away from their role after five years…

After five years at the helm, Wexford Ladies Intermediate Footballer manger, Lizzy Kent, has stepped away from her role.

A spokesperson for Wexford Ladies Football released the following statement, thanking Lizzy for all her work and wishing her well in the future:

“Wexford Ladies Football would like to officially announce the departure of Lizzy Kent and her management team. After five dedicated years at the helm of the Wexford Intermediate Ladies Footballers.”

“During Lizzy’s tenure, the team reached two All-Ireland Intermediate Finals, two All-Ireland Intermediate Semi-Finals, celebrated a Leinster Intermediate Final victory, and earned promotion to Division 2 of the National League — achievements that speak volumes about her commitment and leadership.”

“On behalf of everyone at Wexford County Board, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Lizzy for her unwavering efforts to raise the standards of Wexford Ladies Football. Her passion, drive, and dedication have left a lasting legacy, and we wish her and her team every success in their next chapter,” it reads.

Wexford will now be on the look-out for a new manager to take charge ahead of the new inter-county season.
