A new fitness studio recently opened its doors in Wexford…
Run by Catherina Byrne, ‘Time 4 Fitness‘ is located at Unit 5, Gorey Business Park (Y25 T0V1). The new studio is a spacious modern, accessible gym designed to give people in the community the perfect environment to train, learn, and grow stronger. Alongside Catherina, there are two other professionally trained coaches, Conor and Tom, who are also overseeing client development.
We caught up with owner, Catherina, to discuss her motivations for opening the new fitness studio, the clients ‘Time 4 Fitness’ cater towards, and the feedback received to date.
‘Time 4 Fitness’ officially opened their studio at the end of January 2025, but the idea was created long before, born out of Catherina’s love of fitness and how she viewed training as transformational for not just the body – but the mind too.:
“The journey started long before January. I previously ran a small setup in the Gorey Rangers clubhouse, and I saw first-hand how much strength training can transform not only your body, but your confidence and mindset too.”
“Opening the new studio was about creating something bigger — a space where I could show people that lifting weights isn’t just for athletes or bodybuilders, it’s for anyone who wants to live longer, feel healthier, and gain a real sense of self-belief. I’ve always loved the energy that comes from training with like-minded people, and my goal was to share that feeling with the wider community,” Catherina told Wexford Weekly.
Some gym-goers dread the thoughts of going to the gym. However, this does not seem to be the case at Time 4 Fitness. The inclusivity aspect with Time 4 Fitness sees clients both entering and leaving the gym with a smile on their face. Time 4 Fitness caters for a range of clients, she says:
“Our studio welcomes a wide range of clients — from complete beginners who’ve never lifted a weight before, to more experienced gym-goers who want to take their training to the next level.”
Time 4 Fitness focus on people who:
• Want to build strength and confidence in a supportive environment
• Are interested in sustainable, long-term health and fitness (not just quick fixes)
• Value a sense of community and accountability while achieving personal goals
“Whether it’s someone looking to get healthier, improve performance, or simply feel stronger in everyday life, this space is for them,” she says.
Nine months after opening at the Gorey Business Park, Catherina says the feedback has been incredible:
“The feedback has been incredible. Members love the welcoming, no-intimidation vibe of the studio, and many have said they finally feel like they’ve found a place where they actually enjoy exercising. People are building strength faster than they expected, but more importantly, they’re building confidence and friendships along the way. The community atmosphere has been the biggest highlight — there’s a real buzz when you walk in the door, and that motivates everyone to push a little harder and celebrate each other’s wins,” she told Wexford Weekly.

In business – but especially in the gym industry where clients seek improvements, it’s vital to listen to customers and clients. One testimonial from one of Catherina’s clients speaks volumes of the new Gorey-based fitness studio and further demonstrates the studio’s passion for transforming people who step foot through their doors.
“If we are lucky in our lifetime we get to meet a few truly special and life changing people. Catherina, you are one of these people for me and so many others I’m sure. I’ve gone from being constantly in pain to living a life that I could only have imagined this time last year. I have you to thank for that. Starting with your unique insight into the science of stretching to now strength training has been life changing for me. You have accompanied me on a journey of perseverance, patience and belief. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I thank God that we met and look forward to the future. A future where I believe anything is possible and where health, strength and happiness are at the core of my being,” a recent ‘Time 4 Fitness’ client said.

Another client echoed similar sentiments noting their significant physical improvements while also highlighting how they look forward to each session:
“I’ve been working with Catherina at Time4Fitness for the past seven months and I am really happy with my progress. My strength and fitness has improved greatly and I can see definition where I never saw it before. I feel great and I look forward to my workouts. They’re challenging, but fun! I highly recommend Time4Fitness,” it reads.
For Mandy, a client in the Time 4 Fitness gym, she cannot recommend her coach, Conor Casserly, enough. Noting that she often felt intimidated in previous gyms, this is definitely not the case at Time 4 Fitness:
“I can’t recommend Conor at Time 4 Fitness enough! He takes the time to explain each exercise, correct my form, and make sure I understand why we’re doing what we do. I’ve gone from feeling intimidated in the gym to actually looking forward to my workouts. Conor pushes me just the right amount, celebrates every win, and genuinely cares about my progress. I have felt incredible results not just physically but also in my energy levels, mindset, and overall well-being,” Mandy said.

At Time 4 Fitness, it’s important that each little detail is tailored to the individual, because after all, each person is different and has their unique fitness goals on their own journey:
“At Time 4 Fitness, we make fitness truly personal. Whether you prefer the energy of our Small Group PT (Personal Training) sessions, the focus of 1:1 coaching, or the motivation of working out with a friend or partner in our Pal or Couple Training options, we’ve designed programs to fit every lifestyle. Each session is tailored to support your growth, helping you stay consistent and achieve real results. And for the ultimate reset, don’t miss our revitalising Deep Stretch class every Thursday evening at 7.30 pm a perfect way to release tight muscles, improve flexibility, and recharge your body,” Catherina told Wexford Weekly.
There are hurdles when starting off every new business venture. And like everything, without support, none of it would be possible either.
Owner Catherina is quick to thank everyone that has helped her build the dream gym and each client that walks through the doors:
“I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the studio so far — from long-time clients to those walking through the doors for the first time. This space is about more than just fitness; it’s about building a community where people feel inspired, supported, and capable of things they never thought possible. If you’ve ever been nervous about joining a gym, this is your sign to give it a try — we’ll meet you where you are, and help you grow stronger, inside and out.”
